Meet Matthew | Work Experience Student

We are delighted to welcome work experience student Matthew to GlowMetrics! Matthew has been working in GlowMetrics for the past week, gaining industry experience of analytics and marketing. In his time at GlowMetrics Matthew has learned how to use keyword planning, writing ad copy and promote social media marketing!

So, Matthew, tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m 15 years old from Broomfield in Co. Monaghan. I go to school at  Castleblayney College,  I am in my 4^th year at school I study business and have an interest in analytics and marketing. I decided to come here on work experience here and was lucky enough to get the chance by Joanne to come here to learn and understand what the employee do on a daily basis.

What are your hobbies when you’re not studying?

I have a huge interest in sport such as GAA, I play with my local club and with my school. Our local club has been very successful over the years, winning many trophies and it’s great to be involved in the wider GAA community.  I enjoy anything to do with sports – I try and take part both at school and within the local club. I enjoy watching soccer as well and support Manchester United but will not say how they’re doing!

What’s your favourite TV show?

That wouldn’t be an easy choice, but if I was to pick one it would probably be Home and Away – it never seems to disappoint and does be plenty of drama in it!

Why GlowMetrics?

I wanted to come to GlowMetrics because I wanted to see whether I could do this job in the future and would I enjoy it. And after coming here for the week and learning what the employees do, I can see myself working in a company like this in the future. I really enjoyed my week here at GlowMetrics and really learned a lot from my work experience.
