Meet Mark | Digital Marketing Assistant

We are delighted to welcome a new member of staff to the GlowMetrics team! Meet Mark, who is just starting his placement with us as a Digital Marketing Assistant! Mark will be with us for the next 3 months, gaining industry experience to go alongside his degree and masters. Our new Digital Marketing Assistant is excited to get stuck in and learn all things digital.

We decided to do a few quick-fire questions to find out more about him.

So, Mark, tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m 24 years old from Strabane in Co. Tyrone. In 2017 I graduated from Queens University Belfast having studied English and Drama. In 2018 I decided to return to QUB to study Marketing as a masters. In my year between undergrad and masters I lived in Barcelona teaching English and worked as the Social Media Manager in a Summer School in England. Currently, I am on placement with GlowMetrics and I’m excited to gain industry insight and develop my marketing and analytics knowledge and skills.

What are your hobbies when you’re not working or studying?

So recently I’ve been interested in making short films, usually travel videos to remember the places I’ve been! I enjoy taking clips that I’ve videoed on phone combine them together, add some music & there you have it a travel video! Normally I don’t post them on social media since I’m a perfectionist and always find a flaw in them somewhere, but they’re a great way to capture your holidays!

What’s your all-time favourite TV Series?

That’s a tough one but I’d have to say the US Office, it never fails to make me laugh no matter how many times I watch it! The storylines are always hilarious & its such a feel-good show.

Why GlowMetrics?

Having met Joanne and Conor at a lecture given by GlowMetrics on Google Analytics my interest in the company and analytics peaked. The informative lecture provided an excellent starter guide to analytics, a part of marketing I had limited experience in! After the lecture, I decided to apply for the internship position at the company as both Joanne and Conor left a lasting impression, and I knew GlowMetrics was a company I could gain practical industry skills while working in a fun & experienced team! I’m delighted to start my placement with GlowMetrics & can’t wait to join the team!
